What does “Warranty-Friendly” mean?

Warranty-friendly is a personally coined phrase dating back to 2003 to help differentiate our performance product from the tuners, programmers, and “diesel chips” that changed stock settings within the Engine Control Module or (ECM).

After extensive market research of the aftermarket diesel performance industry, we found it was saturated with more horsepower hype than functional performance solutions. This was our motivation to find a working-class, stock-engine solution for improving HP and MPG.

In 2003 we began working with Dr. Performance, a diesel performance pioneer, manufacturer, and esteemed multi-record holder in Texas. The collaboration resulted in a “Post-ECM” performance product that had mass market appeal as it did not change or delete factory stock settings. This made our performance modules safer and “warranty-friendly”, allowing the “working-class” stock diesel owner to improve the much-needed low-end horsepower of the then-underpowered diesel engines like the 7.3 Power Stroke and 5.9 Cummins.

Today, diesel engines are far more advanced and have over twice the horsepower of their predecessors. However, standardized “emissions de-tuning” has forced the manufacturers to push the maximum horsepower to over 2800 RPM, well outside the normal driving zone. Our performance modules will restore low-end horsepower and will improve fuel mileage by as much as 100 more miles per tank (depending on tank capacity) without changing the engine’s stock setting. More importantly, our performance modules also respect ALL stock emissions on your engine. This helps maintain your future trade-in value and may help avoid possible fines associated with illegal tampering and/or deleting.

DISCLAIMER: While we go to great lengths to offer only warranty-friendly diesel performance modules, all vehicle/engine manufacturers’ warranties are honored and/or voided at the sole discretion of said vehicle/engine manufacturers. Though the performance modules we offer are “Post ECM” and never change or delete manufacturer stock settings and honor all emissions equipment, it is recommended that you take your module off before you take it to any dealership to avoid visual contact with the product.
